Winthrop House is dedicated to gender justice, reproductive health, and personal empowerment, ensuring that all students have a safe learning and living experience at Harvard free of interpersonal harm. The purpose of the CARE (Consent Advocacy and Relationship Education) committee is to promote educational advocacy and foster a safe community at Winthrop House with values and practices rooted in equity, justice, and inclusion.

Working closely with the [SHARE Counselors at the Office for Community Support, Non-Discrimination, Rights and Responsibilities](https://csndr.harvard.edu/share), we aim to cultivate a compassionate community and sense of belonging for anyone at Winthrop who has witnessed or experienced any form of harm. We foster connections to 24/7 confidential support, trauma-informed counseling, education and support groups, community referrals, and advocacy through the [Office for Community Support, Non-Discrimination, Rights and Responsibilities](https://csndr.harvard.edu/).

At Winthrop House, focused on trauma-informed community building, we host events aimed at exploring healthy habits within relationships, practices of self-care focused on mental and physical self-empowerment, restorative justice, and reproductive health.
