Hi, my name is Ben, and I am super excited to once again be a part of the Winthrop Community! Originally from Mexico, I graduated in 2019 from Harvard College with a concentration in History, and spent three wonderful years as a proud Winthrop resident. I now work full-time as a Program Manager for Y2Y Harvard Square, a student-run youth homeless shelter located in Harvard Square that is part of the Phillips Brooks House Association. In my role, I coach and mentor the incredible student leaders who run all aspects of operations of our shelter. I'm particularly interested in evaluation and measuring impact, as I believe it is our duty as human service professionals to ensure we are delivering the best possible services to our clients. Outside of work, I love playing volleyball, learning new languages, and cooking new vegan recipes!

If you're interested in getting involved in public service on campus, have questions about finding a career in public service after graduation, or want to talk about how organizations can continually learn and improve, drop me a line! Additionally, as someone who is part of an immigrant family, I'm also always happy to connect with any students who consider that an important facet of their identity. See you around Winthrop!
