Hi ThropStars! My name is Chris Altizer, and I’m thrilled to be returning to Winthrop as a Non-Resident Tutor. I'm originally from Tucson, Arizona, and I graduated from the College in 2021 with a degree in History and Science (with a focus on the environment). After that, I taught high school chemistry as a Harvard Teacher Fellow at HGSE and worked on climate and youth policy in the House of Representatives over on Beacon Hill. Now, I'm a first-year student at the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison.

While in Winthrop, I was involved as a HoCo Chair and Public Service Representative and then spent the better part of my free time as a coordinator for the Mission Hill After School Program. As a former PAF and First-Year Proctor, feel free to reach out to chat about anything, including (but not limited to) HoCo or pre-law advising, public service careers, and/or the best coffeeshops in the Boston area. Super excited to meet you!
