I’m spending time at the Kennedy School this year as a Hauser Leader, where I will be leading a study group on government reform. Before stepping down in January, I had a rich and varied  35+ year career at the U.S. Treasury, where I served for the past 10 years as the Fiscal Assistant Secretary, the senior most career official. I have a long affiliation with and affection for Harvard, having been a student, proctor, staff member, and student parent.
