Hi Winthrop!! I'm thrilled to be a new Resident Tutor in the house together with my wonderful partner Jeremy Martinez. I'm an international student from Germany and came to the US by myself when I was 15. I studied chemistry and computer science at Duke University for my Bachelor's. There, I was also involved in biochemistry and computational genomics research and volunteered at a local nursing home. I also spent time abroad in Mongolia, Vietnam and Bangladesh. Currently, I am pursuing my MD-PhD degree at Harvard/MIT. I have already finished my first two years of medical school and am currently working on my PhD in the Senseable Intelligence Group at the McGovern Institute for Brain Science at MIT. Here, I work at the intersection of brain imaging, genomics and machine learning, applied to psychiatry and neuroscience. I also work on improving student wellbeing at Harvard and volunteer with an immigrant health organization. In my free time, I love to run by the Charles, cook vegetarian meals and am currently learning Spanish! I would absolutely love to talk about any of this with you! Please do not hesitate to reach out. In particular, I'll be focusing on supporting medical school applicants, wellbeing initiatives and international students in the house.
