Emin is a recent Winthropian who finished his undergraduate degree in Fall 2022. Having grown up in Istanbul, Emin had a joint concentration on Chemistry and Physics and Mathematics during his time at Harvard, with a secondary in Neuroscience and a concurrent masters in Computer Science (he had commitment issues). He is currently a PhD student in the Computer Science Department of Carnegie Mellon University, and his research interests lie in theoretical computer science, algorithmic game theory, and computational social choice. Emin is a big Marvel fan, and spends most of his spare time reading comics or (occasionally, if he’s not feeling too lazy) hiking in New England. He is super excited to be back in the Winthrop community as a Non-Resident Tutor, specializing in STEM & International Students, so feel free to get in touch with him about anything that comes up!
