# Emin Berker Non-Resident Tutor ![Photo of Emin Berker](/sites/g/files/omnuum9706/files/styles/hwp_4_5__320x400/public/winthrop-house/files/emin.jpg?itok=2e4mH0Un) email Emin is a recent Winthropian who finished his undergraduate degree in Fall 2022. Having grown up in Istanbul, Emin had a joint concentration on Chemistry and Physics and Mathematics during his time at Harvard, with a secondary in Neuroscience and a concurrent masters in Computer Science (he had commitment issues). He is currently a PhD student in the Computer Science Department of Carnegie Mellon University, and his research interests lie in theoretical computer science, algorithmic game theory, and computational social choice. Emin is a big Marvel fan, and spends most of his spare time reading comics or (occasionally, if he’s not feeling too lazy) hiking in New England.
