Hi Winthrop! I’m so excited to continue as a tutor with my wife Phebe. My family is from Costa Rica (Pura Vida!), and I grew up in Florida. As an undergrad I studied molecular biology and microbiology, then spent two years at the National Institutes of Health as a researcher studying inherited immune disorders. I attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania and completed Internal Medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. I am now a third-year clinical and post-doctoral fellow in Hematology/Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. My clinical and research focus is the treatment and genomics of blood cancers. In my free time I enjoy reading, running, and discovering new vegetarian-friendly restaurants in Boston. I am excited to support you all and have specific experience in advising students who are pre-med or those who are aspiring basic science researchers. You can also find me at Harvard on the Move events, at Spanish Language Tables, and running book club. Looking forward to connecting with you all!
