I was born and raised in Maryland (near Baltimore), and so I always have Old Bay in my kitchen. I attended Syracuse University, where I double majored in History and English, and spent my junior year in England through the Syracuse London program. I did my masters in History here at the Harvard Extension School. Prior to coming to Harvard, I worked in several different fields, including hospital administration, marketing, non-profit, and a year of service with AmeriCorps as a reading teacher. My hobbies include reading (particularly history and genre fiction), cooking, running, and travel. I love visiting historical sites (I recommend the ranger-guided tours at the Longfellow House), and checking out local restaurants.
