Alex Gordon plays the piano and organ in a variety of genres. He studied music theory at Harvard and received a Master’s degree in Modern American Music from the Longy School of Music. For over 20 years, he has taught piano lessons in and around his hometown of Norwell MA. He has performed with many ensembles, and served the congregations of multiple churches. He is especially fond of the music of the composer J.S. Bach and jazz pianist Bill Evans. Other interests include tennis, chess, and enjoying nature. He is delighted to be part of the Winthrop House community.
