Alice Hu
Hey Throp! I'm a second-year at Harvard Law School, and I'm thrilled to be a Non-Resident Tutor. I grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Harvard College, where I was a proud Thropian! I completed a joint concentration in Government (focusing on International Relations) and NELC. My interests in IR and public policy led me to studying Arabic in Jordan as a Department of State Critical Language Scholar as well as working at Human Rights Watch and the US Mission to the UN. Before law school, I worked in startups in San Francisco and plan to work in technology law and policy post-grad.
Outside of class, I'm the president of National Asian Pacific American Law Students Association (NAPALSA), the national organization representation AAPI law students, and I'm on the boards of the Harvard Law Entrepreneurship Project (providing pro bono legal advising to startups), Harvard Graduate Council/Student Government, and Dean of Students' Well-Being Working Group. I'm passionate about mindfulness & mental wellbeing (especially as it intersects with FGLI experiences), creative writing, international travel, and dogspotting everywhere.
I remember the challenges I experienced as an undergrad, and would love to be a resource for you. Please don't hesitate to reach out about anything, including pre-law, FGLI, community advocacy, and well-being!
