Hi Winthrop! My name is Jamie and I am a 4th year Ph.D. student in the Economics Department at Harvard. Originally from Long Beach, California, I spent my undergrad years at Amherst College where I studied Economics and Spanish and played on the women's golf team. Before starting grad school I spent two years as a predoctoral fellow with the Opportunity Insights group, where I worked on projects focused on intergenerational mobility in the US. In my own research right now I am working on projects related to gender inequality in the labor market. I'm happy to chat about economics or anything else on your mind and I'm looking forward to being part of the IM crew here at Winthrop.
