Jim Waldo

Jim Waldo is a Professor of the Practice of Computer Science, as well as a professor of technology policy at the Kennedy School and the CTO of the School of Engineering and Applied sciences. Jim spent most of his career in industry, working in the areas of distributed systems, software engineering, and programming languages (he was one of the designers of the Java programming language and environment). His academic training was as a philosopher and linguist. He teaches courses in privacy, distributed systems, and the ethics of data science.
