Julie Wilson is a sociologist on the faculty of the Kennedy School of Government, currently an emeritus faculty member.  Her work focuses primarily on child and family policy, particularly child welfare and juvenile justice.  She is currently working with the Massachusetts Office of the Child Advocate to identify strategies the Commonwealth and others can undertake to better support LGBTQI+ children, youth, young adults and their families.  Wilson chairs the organization tasked with raising funds to support the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter and is an active volunteer – particularly on the morning cleanup and laundry shifts!
