Michael Rain is a practitioner fellow-in-residence at Harvard University, jointly at the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics and the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research. He is the founder of ENODI, a media and research company focused on the cultural innovations, entrepreneurial impact, and identity issues of people with immigrant backgrounds. NASDAQ, NBC News, The Wall Street Journal, Thrive Global, and Upscale Magazine have featured his media, business, social impact, and creative work.

Michael is a TED speaker with a TED Talk that has over 1.3 million views and has been translated into 28 languages. The talk, which was named one of "The 100 Best TED Talks" has been made required and recommended viewing by over 30 institutions including Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, The University of Washington School of Medicine, The League of Women Voters Wake County, and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for their Inclusive Mindset training.

He has delivered keynotes, remarks, and guest lectures at policy, tech, business, and educational institutions, including the U.S. Department of State, Google, SAP, Santander, Morgan Stanley, Wharton, and Columbia Law School. He began his career in strategic communications at a WPP firm consulting FORTUNE 500 companies, high-profile individuals, and influential organizations on reputation management, litigation support, storytelling, and crisis communications.

Michael serves as a member of the board of directors of Blossom Academy, a non-profit based in Accra, Ghana that builds world-class analytics professionals to solve Africa's problems and propel the continent forward.

He holds an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School where he was a Freedman-Martin fellow. He earned a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Columbia University and was a John S. Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford University. Michael is Ghanaian-American, a lifelong New Yorker, and a Brooklyn native.
