Nathan Connell
Dr. Nathan Connell is Chief of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital (BWFH), Vice Chair of Medicine for BWFH Clinical Services and Education and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. His clinical interests include thrombosis and hemostasis with particular interest in the spectrum of clinical disorders related to the coagulation protein von Willebrand factor. He sees patients in the Boston Hemophilia Center, a joint program of BWH and Boston Children’s Hospital. Dr. Connell earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Cornell University, his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Miami, and his Master of Public Health degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his residency in internal medicine followed by a clinical and research fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Brown University. As a systems-based hematologist, his research evaluates cost-effective and quality strategies for care delivery for patients with blood disorders.
