Winthrop has two music practice rooms available for residents to explore their musical passions, both located in the basement of Standish Hall (D entry). The Lorraine E. Chickering Music Rooms are open to all Winthrop residents seven days a week. Reservation requests should be submitted in RoomBook.
S018A, the larger of the two rooms, contains a Steinway piano, a drum set and other percussion instruments.
Practice room S108B contains a electronic piano (Yamaha Clavinova CLP-123).
Note that Winthrop House also has pianos in the Junior Common Room, the Senior Common Room, and a portable Korg SP-280 digital piano that you can request (reach out to the House Office Staff).
